Our Mission

Alternative Interventions Family Services' (AIFS) primary goal is:

To decrease violent, aggressive, and suppressing behaviors that are damaging to the family dynamics by providing innovative services structured to preserve the family unit. Our values and moral obligations define the core of the services we provide. At AIFS, we are committed to our mission and strongly believe:

-All families deserve an opportunity for success in society

-Youth, no matter what walk of life, can succeed and beat the pressures and difficulties they face

-Positive change is not only possible but expected

Our framework will assist with identifying problematic behaviors and develop critical solution-based skills to increase appropriate actions. We provide flexible support services and 24-hour crisis intervention coupled with intense focuses on enhancing social skills, coping skills, problem-solving practices, appropriate boundaries, behaviors, and relationships. Most importantly, AIFS implements a family-centered approach to strengthen and empower the core of the family to create continued stability and functioning following termination of intensive in-home services. Youth who are referred to our program are often trapped in an ongoing cycle of dysfunctional behaviors in the home or in the community.
